Getting Started / Threading the Sling

1. To thread your sling, begin by unfolding sling. Grasp the rings in one hand, and open the tail with the other hand. The inside of the sling, with the tag should be facing up.

2. Gather the tail with your hand, trying not to twist or fold it. It is better if the edges of the tail are on either side.

3. Insert tail through both rings.

4. Thread the fabric over the 1st ring then through the 2nd ring.

5. Properly threaded sling. Tail is hanging down

6. Decide which shoulder you would like your sling to rest. Start from the opposite side, with the tail hanging down. Put your arm through the sling and over your head. Most people have a favorite shoulder. Be sure to get comfortable using both shoulders so you will be able to wear your sling on either side.

7. Rest the sling on your opposite shoulder. Rings should just be in front of your shoulder or a little higher. Everyone has a different body structure and curve to their shoulder, so it might take a little bit of trial and error until you get proficient at placing the rings in the perfect spot.

8. Reach behind and spread your sling across your back. Make sure the sling is not twisted.

9. Reach underneath the shoulder folds and spread them across your shoulder.

10. You can quickly fix a twisted tail without re-threading your sling by pulling both edges of the tail away from each other.
